Nick Merrill is a Non-Resident Fellow and a Senior AI Researcher at the Forecasting Research Institute. Previously, Nick directed the Daylight Lab. Threat identification techniques developed by the Daylight Lab are used by the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Taiwan’s Ministry of Digital Affairs, and Meta. Nick has published over two dozen peer-reviewed articles in venues like CHI, CSCW, and Duke Law Review. His research has been covered in news outlets worldwide, including CNN, CBS, and Forbes.
