The rights of Indigenous people and their lands and territories are under increased threat around the world. In response, Indigenous communities and those working with them to support their security must develop innovative ways to connect communities with urgent security support during emergencies – a process complicated by an increasing number of threats to digital safety.
Join Daniel Kobei of the Ogiek Peoples’ Development Programme, Jemimah Kerenge, the Director of Enkishon Indigenous Initiative, and Casey Box of Land is Life as they talk about their work to develop an Indigenous-led security fund in Sub-Saharan Africa, in a conversation moderated by Sean Brooks of UC Berkeley’s Citizen Clinic.
