Our inaugural UC Berkeley Tech Policy Summit brings together world-renowned academics, thought leaders, policymakers, industry pioneers, and innovators to discuss and debate the most pressing issues at the intersection of technology and policy.

At UC Berkeley, we’re dedicated to supporting the responsible development and use of emerging technologies—from groundbreaking work in data privacy and cybersecurity to the development of human-compatible AI systemspro-social platforms, and multidisciplinary tech policy training.

The European Union’s AI Act is a pioneering legislative framework aimed at governing the use and development of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This Act represents a significant step in addressing the growing influence of AI technologies in various sectors and their impacts on society.
