Biography
Severin Perez is a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State where he
specializes in political affairs. Severin has served in overseas assignments at the U.S.
embassies in Ukraine, Cyprus, and Jordan, as well as in domestic assignments in Washington,
D.C. Severin is a current graduate student at the U.C. Berkeley School of Information, Master of
Information and Data Science (MIDS) program, with an anticipated graduation date of August 2023. Severin has a passion for technology and is working to transform American foreign policy
into a data-driven enterprise that leverages emerging technology to improve international
cooperation. Severin completed his undergraduate studies at U.C. Berkeley where he was
awarded a B.A. in Political Science.
