Biography
Matt Olfat completed his PhD at UC Berkeley’s Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, where he researched systematic biases in automated decision-making systems and developed a hierarchical framework for fair machine learning, extending to functions such as classification, unsupervised learning, and decision problems. He currently works at Citadel as a Quantitative Research Analyst, and he previously worked at Wells Fargo.
