Diana Chen is a second-year master’s student at the School of Information, with a focus on data science for public good and product innovation for developing economies. She is
currently working with the City of Berkeley’s Office of Emergency Services/Special Operations team, where she is developing community preparedness programs, hazard response strategies, and disaster management tools.
Before returning to school and pivoting into the public sector, Diana worked for over 12 years as a brand director and creative director, leading creative strategy teams, consulting on brand development, and overseeing marketing communications and new media campaigns.
