Private philanthropy is essential to advancing the work of the Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity. Founded in 2015 with a generous grant from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation’s Cyber Initiative, our mission is to help decision-makers act with foresight and expand who participates in cybersecurity.
CLTC turns to the broader philanthropic community to sustain our capacity, empower our students, staff, and faculty to pursue original cybersecurity research and create new programs that ensure the continued impact and longevity of our work. Our funders include foundations, industry, and individual donors, and we have benefitted from occasional cy pres court-awarded settlements.
CLTC operates in accordance with the UC Berkeley Gift Acceptance Policy.
