Strengthening Cybersecurity in Human Rights Investigations

International courts and human rights organizations are increasingly using publicly-available information (YouTube videos, Facebook photos, Tweets, etc.) to support investigations of human rights violations and war crimes. Researchers from UC Berkeley’s Human Rights Center will identify and share best cybersecurity practices for open-source investigations and digital verification of video and images, which could have potential benefits for international courts and human rights victims around the world.
