The Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity (CLTC) and Daylight Security Research Lab are thrilled to launch a new series of virtual events showcasing the winners of our inaugural arts contest.

We invite you to join us for the first event of the series, “The Price Is Wrong,” featuring Neema Iyer and Shayna Robinson in discussion with Elizabeth Resor on Wednesday, June 10 from 11:00am to 12:00pm (PDT).

Neema Iyer is the Executive Director of Pollicy, a civic technology organization that works at the intersection of data, design and technology to revolutionize civic engagement and participation. Uganda-based artist Shayna Robinson is her collaborator and a former member of the Pollicy team. Together, they produced “The Price is Wrong,” a three-part mockumentary series intended to start a discussion on cybersecurity in the African context through a lens of comedy and realism.

We will share the “The Price Is Wrong” episodes with all registered participants 10 days prior to the event. Then, join us on June 10 for a live discussion and Q&A with Neema and Shayna led by Elizabeth Resor. Resor is currently pursuing a PhD at the UC Berkeley School of Information. Her research focuses on social media and international development in East Africa.
