Johann Koehler is a student in the combined J.D. and Ph.D. program in Jurisprudence and Social Policy at the UC Berkeley School of Law. He holds an MPhil in Criminology from the University of Cambridge, and he was recently recognized by the European Society of Criminology for work by a scholar completed before age 35. His research focuses on the origins, applications, and limitations of scientific and technical expertise in criminal justice policy reform. Recent examples of his work appeared in Criminology, the British Medical Journal, and the Journal of Experimental Criminology.
