University, Cyber Test Engineer

The Challenge:

How do we know if the critical systems we develop for national defense will stand up to real world use? How can we be sure the tools we design can integrate seamlessly into existing environments? When you build some of the most important systems in the world, you can’t leave anything to chance. That’s why we need you – a cyber test engineer who can learn how to test, interpret, and improve – to make sure our systems will solve real problems in the real world.

As a Cybersecurity Test Engineer on our team, you’ll help our clients analyze the creation of processes and experiments to test the functionality and performance of cyber systems. Throughout development, you’ll ensure the highest quality. You’ll write test cases from unit test level to functional, based on your understanding of requirements and how they relate to actual needs. You know the need for “baked-in” security, so you’ll run security scans and interpret the results to be fed back in as improvements to the design. You’ll learn how to script to automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor health of cyber systems. Individuals who are highly capable of developing insight and advice for our clients, but also highly motivated to work with our clients to help implement the solutions we develop.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level: Student

You Have:

  • Experience with security principles, approaches, and technologies in an academic or internship environment
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor’s degree by Summer 2022

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with C, C++, Bash, Python, or Java
  • Knowledge of networking
  • Knowledge of Penetration testing or adversarial emulation
  • Knowledge of current cyber threats and how to appropriately harden a system to prevent them
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
