The Hardware and Retail Marketing organization is responsible for driving the growth of Google’s hardware brands, including but not limited to Google Pixel, Google Home, Pixelbook, wearables and accessories. We partner with product teams to understand the user, shape the product roadmap, and bring products to market through coordinated global media campaigns. The Global Social & Influencer Marketing team drives, enables and inspires social media and influencer marketing in the Devices & Services business group. The team sets the business group’s social and influencer marketing strategy and then works closely with regions and markets, throughout the business group and across Google to see the strategy through.

You will partner with and report to the head of the Global Social & Influencer team. You will be responsible for driving positive social conversation about Pixel and Nest, leading real-time engagement, advocacy, community engagement and editorial strategy. Of course, you won’t do it alone, you’ll work with area specialists and agencies to help see your vision through. Day-to-day, you’ll develop campaigns for new product launches and ongoing content series, ensure our social channels are innovative and engaging, guide our customers and fans to share their stories and have great customer experiences on social media, all while integrating us with culture. You have a love of social media and engagement, and have knowledge of earned conversation and how to create it, with a restless drive for great brand marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Devise strategy and manage marketing’s role in community management, build and maintain effective, collaborative and integrated relationships with internal customer service and community engagement partners, and external agencies
  • Run the social team’s social proof, UGC and advocacy programs, driving greater conversation about Google Home and Mobile products
  • Build and manage the always-on real-time social marketing function
  • Manages channel presence/innovation and content calendars of Home and Mobile to social channels

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's or Equivalent

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in consumer-facing social media marketing
  • Experience driving consumer-facing social marketing programs and earned conversation

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience driving earned conversation on social media and in PR
  • Experience in personalizing the social media experience for customers and fans
  • Experience in using and implementing social listening at the strategy and operational level
  • Experience in influencer marketing within the realm of social marketing
