As a Cybersecurity Systems Intern supporting the W80-4 Systems Team, you have a strong interest in cybersecurity, Nuclear Deterrence (ND), the intersection of these two areas and in related national security challenges. As an intern you will work with a team of nuclear weapon engineers and cybersecurity subject matter experts that take a broad systems perspective to informing strategies, priorities, and requirements for technology and policy solutions. As part of our multidisciplinary team of engineers, you will help conduct studies to provide decision insight to customers in ill-defined or complex multi-domain problem areas related to cybersecurity and ND. You will apply critical thinking using a diversity of technical skills and expertise, and help to effectively communicate options, insights, and trade-offs to support the Lab’s ND mission in a concise way that enables action. You will support digital assurance efforts, interface with internal and external ND cybersecurity stakeholders, support Department of Defense engagements, and engage with NNSA and the AF to develop approaches that are consistent with guidance and customer requirements.
