Department of Political Science
Tim Marple is a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at UC Berkeley. His research lies at the intersection of international political economy, political psychology, and computational quantitative methods. He focuses on questions regarding the social dynamics of the international financial system, the role of interpersonal relationships in banking regulation, and the network structures of cross-border investment and trade. His work also involves themes of mental maps and the role of debt in individuals' daily lives, as well as relational semantic mapping of social concepts as individuals understand them.
