One-Day Technical Training Workshop Curriculum Planner

As a part of its educational programming, the Center is planning a one-day technical workshop for women and minorities underrepresented in cybersecurity. The workshop is intended to provide a primer of fundamental cybersecurity concepts and terms for individuals hoping to either enter or gain more experience and exposure in the field. The Center is looking for a Curriculum Planner who can work closely with the Executive Director and other involved parties to coordinate the curriculum for the workshop. This includes conducting research and interviews needed to put together teaching materials; outlining the training curriculum; and helping to organize any additional pedagogical tools needed for the workshop. An aptitude for creativity and innovation will be highly valued, as will experience designing animated powerpoint slides. The role is open to UC Berkeley graduate students and could be a summer project.

Communications Assistant

CLTC is searching for an UC Berkeley undergraduate student assistant to help with projects and administrative work at the Center. Responsibilities include data collection for a project about research centers on campus; helping to develop a more robust campus outreach system for the Center through social media and email; working with the Special Assistant to connect with campus groups about upcoming events and programming; and working on administrative tasks, such as filing reimbursements. The student will be a part of a small and nimble team, with opportunities to work on various aspects of the Center’s programming.
