On October 5, CLTC and CITRIS will be presenting”Women in Technology,” a symposium focused on the gender gap in technology professions. As part of that event, our friends at CITRIS will be awarding the inaugural CITRIS Athena Awards, to recognize women and organizations who embody, encourage, and promote the inclusion of women in technology and computer science. Awardees inspire others to pursue and persevere in technical careers by way of their outstanding contributions, and by service and mentorship toward promoting education and inclusion in the field.
Nominations are open to women, projects, and organizations across the United States. Awards include travel support to attend the Women in Technology symposium at UC Berkeley, where awards and cash prizes totaling $10,000 will be presented. The deadline for nominations is 5:00PM PDT on August 1, 2016. Click here to submit a nomination.
